ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
For Outside applicants(i.e., those without current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service) Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Preparing pre-award technical reviews of contract documents for Bidability, Constructability, Operability and Environmental compliance on Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects of varying difficulty and complexity. 2) Performing Field Quality Assurance duties on construction contracts. 3) Providing contract oversight on contractor Safety and Quality Control programs. 4) Fully functioning as an experienced and independent Quality Assurance (QA) Representative in the field of construction in the areas of Structural, Civil, Mechanical and electrical building systems.
