Global Supply Chain Director

SUMMARY The Global Supply Chain Director is responsible for managing all the US and Mexican operational activities of the supply chain management.
Directs and controls all supply chain staff and activities including purchasing, production control, material control, inventory control, warehouse and shipping/receiving.
Develops and implements policies and procedures, material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials.
Reviews and plans requirements for purchasing material to support production and continual improvement of an integrated strategic sourcing process.
Prepares MRP using company Fourth Shift system.
Establishes a supplier management partnership resulting in improved profitability and achieve outstanding customer service.
Participates with other senior managers to establish company plans and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise, mentor and develop staff for continual improvement.
Demonstrate strong leadership through training and coaching.
Develop strategies and manage goals for department to include schedule integrity, product lead-times, customer delivery performance, on-time delivery, build complete, inventory turns, Excess & Obsolete management, and delivery to parts distribution center and inter-company departments.
Ensure that the right amount of internal material is available to meet agreed upon production demand while also meeting asset management goals.
Identify and pursue continuous improvement in internal material flow processes and systems.
Plan, direct and coordinate commodity and materials management activities thru subordinate staff.
Responsible for developing measurement metrics, including customer satisfaction, material metrics, asset management, inventory turn, cost reductions, supplier quality and supplier development.
Build strategic alliances with key supplier partners based on metrics of quality, total cost and delivery linking to strategic business needs while reducing external spending.
Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
Contract negotiation and administration with raw material, semi-finished good and finished good suppliers.
Establish successful relationships with suppliers on a country, regional or global basis to ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels.
Work with global commodity manager and strategic supply chain management teams on sourcing strategies including supplier selection, risk analysis, supplier quality, payment terms, lead-times, and capacity/flexibility management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or a related science field.
APICS Certification or demonstrated progress toward certification strongly desired.
At least 15 years of global supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.

years of progressive leadership of a professional purchasing staff, or equivalent experience leading teams or work groups.
A track record of successfully developing and implementing the Supply Chain function.
Experience implementing a global supply planning processes.
Experience with implementing Vendor Managed Inventory/Supplier Replenishment.
Extensive experience with planning a low-cost country supply base.
A track record of creating a sustainable inventory management processes with demonstrated year over year reductions.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES High level of analytical ability to solve complex problems.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Significant experience in Lean Manufacturing waste reduction techniques (5-S, Kaizen, Continuous Flow, Lead Time Reduction, Value Stream Mapping, and Kanban).
Proven track record of efficiency improvements, quality improvements and project management.
Strong oral and written communication skills, speak Spanish a plus.
Strong leadership and strong interpersonal skills to build and lead highly effective teams.
Demonstrated ability for innovative/creative thinking.
Demonstrated knowledge and daily management of MRP II systems for example:
Oracle manufacturing or another MRP II system), Fourth shift/ APEX.
Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Provide leadership within the Materials organization and within Operations in support of Lean practices.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
