Job Description:
Proficiency in configuring NEC systems and applications to meet customer requirements. Skilled in performing move/add/change activities on NEC IP Telephony products. Solid working knowledge and practical experience with DC power systems. Certifications to look for:
Required certifications include NEC SMB PBX, NEC Enterprise PBX, NEC Advanced PBX, NEC SMB Voice Messaging Application, NEC Enterprise Voice Messaging Application (VMO), NEC Application Certification as per local requirements, and OEM/3rd-Party Equipment Certification(s) as per local requirements. Certifications from other manufacturers will be considered. A valid driver's license for the principal state of employment. Language Skills:
Professional Business English. Computer and/or Technical Skills:
Experience with NEC's SV PBXs, Univerge Blue Connect/Engage OW5000, GNAV applications in a multisite environment. Understanding of VoIP-based telephony networks. Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Responsibilities:
Design and implement NEC systems, applications, and associated equipment across major customer locations in Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. Evaluate network specifications, applications, software, and communications. Provide troubleshooting and consultative advice for equipment upgrades and improvements. Lead installations and services on customer Multi-Functional Devices. Diagnose issues, conduct tests, and perform equipment adjustments and repairs. Offer technical guidance and support to junior engineers. Collaborate with management and staff to gather information on customer requirements and technology trends. Contribute to the definition of product features and specifications based on market needs. Support products including NEC SV9500, UM4730 VM, Commview Call Accounting System, and OW5000-UCD application. Dedicate 90% of time to on-site and remote technical assistance, including troubleshooting NEC equipment and Telco circuits. Provide innovative solutions to customers and perform basic VoIP network readiness assessments. Assist in sales support activities and additional duties as required.
