Boeing Commercial Airplanes has an exciting opportunity for a Planner Wire Runs and Shields A to join our team in Everett, WA!
Plan electrical wire assemblies/bundles in accordance with process standards by using information from engineering design changes, for rework or new fabrication. Interpret paper work package instructions into a practical application for, mockup or production wire shop assemblers to
Employment in this position also requires carrying and lifting less than 35 pounds, finger manipulation, handling, rotation of head/neck, sitting, standing, walking, contact with metals, exposure to noise and atmospheric conditions, and the use of personal safety gear for face/eye, ears and feet.
Position
Responsibilities:
Obtain paper work package from ready to work file, perform job from firing order, priority list requirements, or as assigned by lead.
Throughout the shift, use the online personal computer (PC) to obtain information on new issued paper work packages as released by lead. Obtain in a timely manner and work, as required.
Perform clerical work using (e.g., (PC), typewriter) to accomplish work assignments (e.g., rework of wire bundle), as required.
Obtain appropriate drawings, graphics, sketches, using computing systems to retrieve information, as required if drawings are not with shop aid (SA).
Review work instructions from (e.g., wire bundle revision record (WBRR), wire rework record (WRR), shop aid (SA)). Obtain all parts (e.g., wires, connectors) from parts control area (PCA), as required.
Issue rework order and/or new fabrication jobs, to the given wire shop location (e.g., wire cut, form board area, wire tie table). Ensure that wire assembler understands the rework instructions and has parts to perform the job, as required.
Obtain wire bundle to be scrapped from shop, update using on line computer, wire shop business management system (WBMS)), for (e.g., location, status), per planning and engineering instructions, as required.
Input current wire bundle status in various computer systems (e.g., wire shop revision data (WSRD)), as required.
Check rework for status (e.g., stop work, remove wire bundle, continue work), and rework wire bundle in sequence and monitor work flow for minimum interference to production.
Record recut of existing wire bundle on line using (WBMS) issue recut order for wire assembler to rework, per planning and engineering using (WBRR), as required.
Write report on (WBRR) paper work face sheet for quality assurance (QA). Log on back side off bundle assembly tag (BAT), to include (e.g., rework number, shop stamp) submit to area performing rework and also keep records for rework history, as required.
Safely move wire bundles and parts using a push cart, as required.
Understanding of assembly and manufacturing processes and terminology such as overall part/assembly flows, process steps and various types of aircraft/aerospace parts, components and assemblies, as required.
Operate computing equipment to access and input job tasks information (e.g., drawings, specifications and other online information systems).
Work with others as part of a team which includes working safely giving and receiving feedback, assisting others in completion of tasks; possess interpersonal, listening, and participation skills.
Knowledge of routing, clamping, tying, connecting and terminating wires and/or wire bundles in electrical systems and assemblies.
Understand the application of technical documents/information such as BAC specifications, engineer drawings, tool control, FOD prevention and safety information as required.
Use math that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions.
Effectively communicate written information such as tie-ins, reports and/or required documentation. Maintain and update records.
Follow oral/written instructions provided by the team leader or supervisor.
Assist in determining if discrepancies exist by obtaining information from multiple sources (e.g., drawings, BAC specifications, shop communication) as required.
Plan organize work sequence efficiently.
Investigate and resolve problems; devise and implement solutions.
Attention to detail; ensure all work instructions and computer data have been completed accurately.
Read and interpret engineering drawings. Capable of visualizing a three-dimensional shape from a two-dimensional view, converting left-hand to right-hand views and understanding symbols, flag notes, and general notes.
Read and interpret production illustrations (PI), Work Instructions, (W/I), Shop Order Instance, (SOI), engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, mechanical and/or schematics. Capable of visualizing a three-dimensional shape from a two-dimensional view converting left-hand to right-hand views and understanding symbols, flag notes, and general notes as required.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications.

years of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications.

years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with the Bluestreak for Electrical Bundles.
Experience with Boeing Apps: WIRS, EWIRE, ENOVIA, WSCC, WBMS, REDARS
Experience working with the Wire Bundle Build Process.
Typical Education:
High school graduate or GED preferred.
Relocation:
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Shift:
This position is for variable shifts.

This is an hourly position governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining agreement.
