ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs incoming preliminary inspections on aircraft or components in accordance with customer request cards or manufacturer s manuals.
- Ensures documentation of maintenance performed is completed as required by FAR s, companies Repair Station Manual and customer s Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP).
- Completes final buy-back of maintenance performed.
- Performs in-progress inspections including clearance-to-close, torque verifications, dimensional checks and rigs.
- Performs return-to-service and airworthiness releases on serviceable tags, aircraft logbooks, and FAA form 337 as authorized by company and airlines.
- Documents on-the-job training (OJT) and experience for inclusion into training file.
- Performs audit of company facilities for FAR and safety regulation compliance.
- Monitors compliance to scrap bin policy.
- Be available on the floor to provide oversight, guidance and assistance.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to interpret technical and regulatory documentation accurately.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to learn airline customer RII requirements.
- Familiar with inspection tools, aids and devices used in determining tolerances, specifications, and progress.
- Ability to work a variety of shift schedules and shift hours.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND
Experience:
- Components Services
- Minimum of three (3) years aircraft component maintenance experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by Manager s discretion.
- NDI and previous QC experience preferred.
- Prior leadership experience preferred.
