Job Description:
Leads development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design.
Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product''s environment.
Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics, and performance.
Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort.
Works under minimal direction.
Basic
Qualifications:
MUST have one of the following degrees:
BS/MS Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Level 4:
12 years' experience Commercial Airplane Structures fuselage (skin, Stringer, and frame) & wing analysis experience Stress Analysis review and integration experience with supplies and global partners.
Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.
g.
Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.
g.
PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Reviewing structural stress analysis calculations, structural steel and concrete drawings, and structural fabrication drawings Undertake detailed structural engineering design Produce structural calculations as necessary for structural reviews Performing structural analysis and design Perform structural analysis and design Ensuring civil and structural design Perform structural engineering analysis on catastrophe claims and structural repair Reviewing and checking structural drawings Perform structural analyzes and calculations Performing detailed structural analysis and design using structural software and spreadsheet software Supervise the work of other structural engineers and structural designers Prepare engineering calculations and structural construction documents Analyze structures using various structural engineering software programs Utilizing structural analysis computer programs Use structural engineering and construction terminology Evaluate and design structural systems and components by applying knowledge of structural engineering Perform structural engineering calculations Review shop drawings Monitor sub-contracted structural engineers Assist with structural design of retaining walls Reviewing calculations and all work products produced by structural engineers and structural EI/EIT Recommended Skills Aerospace Industries Architectural Drawing Calculations Chemistry Claim Processing Construction Apply to this job.
