This position leads the project management of long-term Quality projects and improvements, assists in the response to customer audits and corrective action requests, and acts as a technical resource for the Quality inspection team.

Thorough knowledge of inspection in the aerospace environment 3 years experience as a quality lead or similar role Can perform multiple operations and handle complex work Ability to use, interpret and train individuals in the use of aircraft drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
Ability to write routine and complex reports and business correspondence and communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to carry out and provide instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to proficiently conduct geometric and positional dimensioning and tolerancing.
Ability to utilize on-line data systems and electronic media along with printed materials in order to accomplish tasks.
Comprehension of AS9100 and auditing Ability to use surface plates, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), calipers, bore gages, micrometers, height gages, and other precision measuring devices, instruments, and equipment.
Excellent organizational skills Ability to effectively present information to management, customers, and employee groups.
The ability to sit or stand for at least 10 hours a day.
The ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Duties and Responsibilities - What will you do daily:
Leads the implementation, maintenance and completion of projects and plans that support and sustain long term quality improvements Coordinates the implementation and management of quality related processes under the direction of the Quality Manager Works with customer representatives to ensure that the customer's quality standards are supported.
Participates in customer audits Supports and responds to audit requirements Assists in the preparation of Corrective Action Requests to customers.
Leads activities in support of AS 9100 and other industry/customer approvals and Certifications Works with Operations, Engineering and other parts of the organization to assure company and customer quality requirements are met.
Develops and rolls out best practice Inspection standards.
Provides training to inspectors and other employees in various quality assurance and inspection related subjects.
Acts as a technical resource to assist quality inspectors in resolving quality problems and interpreting customer requirements.
Makes recommendations for increasing inspection throughput.
Must contribute to a positive work environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
